Who We Are & What We Do

 

We are Carrollton High School's ROV Team. Every year, an organization known as MATE sends out a mission task simulating an underwater ROV exploration. Teams around the world are required to act as real companies to design and create an ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that will complete the mission task and prepare an oral presentation, paper, and poster. For the past seven years, we have won the Gray's Reef Regional Competition and have moved on to the International Competition. We have traveled to places such as San Diego, CA; Honolulu, HI; Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Seattle, WA; and Alpena, MI. In Houston, we won third place overall in our division. This past year, in Alpena, we won first place poster in our division. This year, with your support, we hope to return to Internationals which will be held in St. Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada and continue to strive towards perfection.
